Amit Shah's Bengal visit: Two days, one mission – Lok Sabha election preparations

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to arrive in Kolkata tonight, marking a two-day visit that holds significant implications for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. With West Bengal emerging as a strategic battleground for the BJP, Shah's visit is seen as a crucial move to bolster the party's presence in the state. Scheduled to land at 11:45 pm, Shah's itinerary includes a series of engagements starting on Tuesday.

On the first day, Shah will proceed directly from the airport to his hotel in New Town for an overnight stay. The following day, his schedule kicks off at 11:30 am with a visit to Kalighat temple for prayers, followed by lunch and a key meeting with party workers. Additionally, Shah will participate in a program at the National Library, featuring a meeting of the party's IT cell. The visit culminates with a final meeting with party workers before Shah departs for Delhi in the evening. Notably, this marks Shah's second visit to Bengal within a month.
